Technician License Boot Camp

The Tri Lakes amateur Radio Club will be offering another of its very successful Amateur Radio Technician
License “Boot Camps on Saturday May 16, 2026.

The Technician License is the entry point for new Amateur “Ham” radio operators. This entry-level license
allows the operator to use the VHF and UHF frequencies utilizing very inexpensive radios.

Ther “Boot Camp” is a day long intensive study session to prepare the student to take the FCC exam at the
end of the day. Our sessions have had about a 95% testing success rate.

The session will be held at the Branson United Methodist Church, 1208 West 76 Country Blvd. in Branson
and will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and be completed by approximately 5:00 p.m.

Cost of the class is $60.00 which includes the class, test fee, lunch, snacks and upon successful completion
of the test a fully programmed hand-held radio to get on the air with and a complimentary membership of
the Tri Lakes Amateur Radio Club.
